Over the Garden
Wall Collection
Three teas based on the main characters of Cartoon Network’s autumnal masterpiece Over the Garden Wall. Each ingredient in these teas was chosen to represent different character traits to create brews as interesting and dynamic as the series itself!
Greg’s Brew Tea Blend
A deep, autumnal green tea blend perfect for keeping you cozy on those cool fall days.
The full, deep gunpowder green tea leaves blend spectacularly with the subtle floral flavor of chrysanthemum and earthy apple notes from homegrown chamomile, with just a touch of ginger to add complexity and really round out the unique autumnal feeling of the brew. Greg's Brew is best enjoyed hot!
Each ingredient was chosen to represent a different aspect of Greg's character. This recipe highlights his youthful innocence, selflessness, optimism, and climactic struggle (no spoilers here!) while traversing the Unknown with his brother.
Wirt’s Brew Tea Blend
This floral apple and clove Darjeeling blend is perfect for cozying up to your writing desk on these cool fall evenings.
Locally sourced red apples emphasize the bright and full Darjeeling base, adding sweetness and acidity that is contrasted perfectly by the spicy organic cloves (broken down by hand for maximum flavor and freshness.) The addition of bachelor button and carnation petals add a wonderful floral flavor to the brew to make a totally unique tea blend that is sure to delight throughout the coldest seasons. This tea contains yarrow, which hasn't been confirmed to be safe for pregnancy. This is a blend best enjoyed hot!
Each ingredient in this tea was chosen to represent different aspects of Wirt's character as he attempts to find his way out of the Unknown with his brother. I chose to highlight Wirt's role as a poet and romantic, as well as his cowardice, caution, and his courage and guardian as the siblings' journey progresses.
The Beast’s Brew Tea Blend
This deep and dark blend is made for those who want to feel like they embrace the darkness of the forest on a cold autumn night.
Assam tea leaves are blended with Lapsang Souchong tea leaves to create a base of the boldest, deepest black tea with a hint of hickory smoke. White pine needles add subtle notes of bright citrus, with ashwagandha root and wild lettuce, to add wonderful herbal, earthy notes to the brew. Homegrown rosemary adds an umami sweetness to balance and round out the flavors into a unique and woodsy brew. It's important to note that this blend has ashwagandha root acting as an adaptogen and wild lettuce as an active sedative. While this tea is great for relieving stress and may help you get a restful sleep, it is not safe for pregnant people to ingest. The Beast's Brew is best enjoyed hot!
Each of the ingredients in this tea were chosen to represent the symbolism of The Beast, like using a smoked black tea to represent the lantern, pine to represent his place in the forest, and other herbs to represent, lies, death, hopelessness.
